Brief:

Design a brand identity for a new cider by Bristol Cider Shop.

​

After some research on Bristol, I created an iconic character inspired by 'Blackbeard' the pirate who originated from Bristol.

I combined his features with an apple to connect it back to the cider. My aim was to make the design subtle so someone would see the face first and the apple second. So I combined features of both elements, such as, the apple leaf and Blackbeard's hair. 

After two pitches, my design was chosen and I kept refining the design to the client's preference.
